Whiskey Rock Fisheries Ltd is situated in the town of Moville in County Donegal in the North East of Ireland, which resides on the banks of Lough Foyle.
Lough Foyle is home to a vast multitude of shellfish species including the largest Flat Oyster self replenishing production area in Europe. It produces in the region of 300 tonnes of Flat Oysters per year.
Whiskey Rock Fisheries Ltd was set up in 1998 and extends from a long established family business previously known as "William Farren and Sons Fish Merchants Moville".
Brothers Liam and John Farren are at the helm of Whiskey Rock Fisheries, and are the 5th generation of that family business which predates World War 1.
It is our familys tradition to supply only the freshest quality shellfish to the market place from Ireland in conjunction with EU legislation.
Whiskey Rock Fisheries Ltd is FBO registered with the SFPA (Sea Fisheries Protection Authority) who are contracted by the FSAI (Food Safety Authority of Ireland) to oversee the EU Food and Hygiene Directives.
