Having a baby is one of the most dramatic moments in a woman’s life. Here at the Village Practice we work with the obstetrics hospital teams to monitor your health and that of the baby throughout the pregnancy. This service is free of charge.

Advice and vaccines that help keep travel abroad safe and enjoyable is readily available from our doctors and nurses. The Village Practice is an official Yellow Fever vaccination centre.

ECG
A cardiograph – a measure of the electrical activity of a person’s heart is sometimes recommended by your doctor. These are usually carried out by our nurse and the result recorded in your chart that evening.

The methods available that allow people to plan for a pregnancy are many – choosing the best method for you can be tricky. GPs can help you decide. Mirenas, Implanons and depo contraceptives are all provided at the Village Practice.
