U Value spray foam insulation

U Value Spray Foam Insulation are your building insulation expert. We cater for domestic, commercial and industrial customers covering all of Ireland.

Made from polyurethane, Spray Foam Insulation is probably the most versatile of all insulation materials. Polyurethanes are used in the manufacture of rigid foam insulation panels, microcellular foam seals and gaskets, synthetic fibers like Spandex, carpet underlay, hard-plastic parts and even condoms.

Uvalue spray foam has focused its energy on perfecting polyurethane spray foam insulation application, saving time, money and most importantly energy for its customers, while helping reduce the emission of harmful CO2 into the atmosphere which causes Global Climate Change and Warming.

EXTENSION INSULATION

The underside of the construction in the photos above was insulated with non airtight fibreglass most people would shy away from a job like this, but here at Uvalue spray foam out expertly trained staff removed the T+G pannels installed E500 open cell airtight spray foam and reinstalled the pannells without any damage.

Basement insulation

This cold and damp basement apartment had the exterior walls insulated with E2000 closed cell spray foam. The reason we recomended this product to this client was that E2000 is not only a fantastic insulator it also acts as a great moister barrier eliminating the damp

Boat insulation

Spray foam insulation is the prefered method of insulating boats. It is applied to boats to keep in heat, reduce internal moisture, and ward off the ill effects of mould and rot. It can be used on any type of boat; pleasure crafts, sailboats, narrow boats, canal boats, barges, tugs, fishing boats, trawlers, cargo ships and also within certain boats where refrigeration is a concern.

Shipping Container Insulation

Shipping containers should be insulated when the goods being transported could be potentially and negatively affected by extreme fluctuations in temperature. Combating condensation and dampness within a container is also a concern, especially on long hauls, and is crucial when transporting goods which may react adversely to these conditions such as linens, fabric, clothing, furniture, certain metal item which may be prone to rust and many more.

Shed Insulation Spray Foam

Insulating a shed may seem like a pretty abstract idea. You may be asking yourself, "Why would anyone want or need to insulate their shed?" First of all, lets briefly describe what spray foam insulation is. Spray foam insulation is two liquids, which when combined at the tip of a spray gun, form a spray which doubles in size once it hits some sort of material (a wall, floor or ceiling). This foam gets into every nook and gap offering superb insulating, moisture infiltration and draft proofing qualities.

Underfloor Insulation

When spray foam is sprayed directly underneath the floorboards of a house which has sufficient access to allow us to get under the floor, spray foam has two major advantages. Firstly, the thermal efficiency of spray foam provides effective insulation for both winter and summer climates. Applying spray foam insulation to the underside of floors results in several positive effects. It provides effective insulation in both cold and hot seasons. It eliminates all air gaps due to the seamless nature of the spray which will further increase the effectiveness of the insulation by eliminating air flow, heat loss and the seeping in of damp moist air.

Floor insulation

As you are already aware, spray foam insulation far surpasses any of the older more traditional methods of insulating and is the one of the most effective solutions to roofing and insulation issues. Another important contribution is that it also acts as a superb sound barrier. Open cell spray foam is quick and easy to apply and causes minimal disturbance. It can be applied through the existing floors or from below through the ceiling.

Roof Insulation Spray Foam

Spray foam insulates a roof far better than traditional insulating materials such as rock wool, fiberglass, cellulose and polystyrene boards. It also expands into every gap and crevice creating a seal which prevents the infiltration of cold drafts, wind and driving rain. Spray foam also acts as a sound barrier, muting and reducing outside noises. Roof insulation is different than attic insulation. Attic insulation is sprayed on the underside of a roof, where roof insulation is applied from on top of the roof. It is also often used on industrial buildings. Since spray foam deteriorate over time as a result of direct UV exposure, it must be treated with a flexible membrane to reflect solar radiation.

Attic Insulation Ireland

Properly insulating your attic is one of the most important steps you can take to keep your home warm while dramatically driving down your utility bills. As is well known, heat rises, and up to 50% of of it can be lost through an inadequately insulated attic.

Insulating your attic using spray foam is a very simple process and can usually be completed in less than a day with a minimal amount of disturbance and mess. There are two types of foam insulation: Open cell and closed cell. Open cell is a breathable foam and is the one used in attic insulation and roof insulation. The open cell insulation allows moisture laden air within the attic to permeate through it where it will then pass into the outside environment through gaps and through roof tiles. This combats the buildup of "cold wet air" within the roof which would lead to mold growth and timber rot.
