3rd & 4th

Pupils from 4th class are preparing for the visit of author Cormac Mac Raois. We are always delighted to welcome Cormac as he is a former teacher of our school.

Clay Models

The pupils from 3rd class are showing us the 'aliens' they moulded and painted last week.

Nature Walk

Sixth class are doing a project on trees. They went on a nature walk on Friday afternoon. There are lots of interesting trees to see on the school grounds.

Artwork

Pupils from Ms. Neilan's class have done artwork and book reviews in preparation for bookweek. They are looking forward to author Tom McCaughren's visit.

Basketball

Ms.Whelan and Ms Lappin do basketball with the pupils every Wednesday after school. The first term we hold a league using teams from 5th and 6th classes. All children from these classes are welcome to participate in the training sessions. During the spring term pupils from fourth classes are invited to join us. After Christmas we play teams from the neighbouring schools and clubs. This is on a non-competition basis and we all have a lot of fun and try to keep fitter and healthier.

School Orchestra

Children who love music might be interested in joining the school orchestra. The highly experienced Mr. Dunne teaches the pupils to play brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. There is a concert at the end of the year where parents and pupils are entertained.
