Derek Hughes is Principal of 180 Degrees, Solution Based Retail Consultancy with over 25 years of hands on Retail experienece.

Mr Hughes holds a Masters Degree in Business and Economics from Trinity college and a Degree from the Marketing Institute of Ireland. He has also attended Harvard, London Business School and Insead (Paris) on Executive Programmes.

He was a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and selected as one of Europe’s leading entrepreneurs.

Mr Hughes was CEO and founder of Hughes & Hughes, a founding Director of Insomnia Coffee Company and Founding Director of the Bord Gais Irish Book Awards.

He also served as a board member and trustee of Retail Excellence Ireland (REI) from 2003 – 2013. He has assisted and advised many leading retailers and on many retail schemes.

Mr Hughes has extensive experience in dealing with leading national and international retail property and lettings agents on various l schemes.

 

 

Strategy:
