Manual handling plays an important role in occupational safety, that is why OHSS has initiated and developed courses to instruct about the risks of asbestos exposure and asbestos removal. Highly experienced tutors will offer information about the dangers of asbestos.
Occupational Hygiene Training
At OHSS, each of our consultants specialises in a different safety discipline. Our occupational hygiene training consultants train course participants to:
Evaluate their working environment
Identify hazards that might put workers at risk
Assess risks
Recommend measures to minimise exposure to risks
Asbestos Training
Exposure to asbestos is the biggest occupational health killer of our time. The law requires that training be provided for employees likely to encounter asbestos in the workplace. We are the most experienced provider of this training in the country.
Chemical Safety Training
Risk assessment is the cornerstone of safety practice in handling chemicals, and a key component of our courses. We examine the design of individual workplaces and focus on the method and location of handling.
Safety Representative Training
Employers are legally obliged to appoint an employee to consult with management on safety issues at work. Safety Representatives must receive appropriate training to carry out the role. Our course is designed to outline the function of the Safety Representative, and provide a comprehensive foundation in health and safety.
Risk Assessment Training
We provide customised courses, identifying employees who will benefit from risk assessment training – enabling employees to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement measures to minimise such risks.
