Essential Driver Training (EDT) 12 Lesson Certificate Course

Since April 2011 the RSA has introduced a new legal requirement for all new learner drivers to take a minimum of 12 hours or lessons before applying for your driving test. This intensive course will cover all aspects of driving which will ensure that you have passed the requirement set by the RSA to sit your test. A stamp of completion will be provided by the driving instructor on completion of each of the 12 lessons

You can purchase standard or sponored driving lessons on an individual basis if you want to check out our Driving Instructor before committing to a package. If you are being taught to drive by someone who is not a qualified instructor such a parent or friend, then it is important to regularly get professional lessons to ensure you are not picking up any bad habits.

Brush up Before The Test

The Brush up Before the Test course will include 1 Pre-Test at the beginning of the course. The other 2 lessons will focus on your weak areas of driving, whether that is on a round-about, 3 point turns, hill starts, gears, turning left or turning right etc. We would advise that you book your Brush up Before Test course at least 2 weeks before your driving test. This will allow you adequate time to practice in between lessons.

Practical driving test in Dublin

To pass the practical driving test you must first have successfully completed the theory test and have received your learners permit. You can apply for your driving test six months from the date your learners permit has been issued. It is advisable to have some professional driving lessons with an approved driving instructor (ADI) before you apply for your driving test.
