Cahersiveen is the capital of the Iveragh Peninsula and on the direct Ring of Kerry route, also it is on the newly developed Wild Atlantic way.
Cahersiveen itself is a popular walking region with Cnoc na dTobail and Benetee loop walk within easy access as well as the historic sites at Ballycarbery Castle, Cahergal Ring Fort and Leacanabuaile Fort. The blue flag beach of the White Strand and Cuas Crome are just 5 miles away.
The surrounding areas of Portmagee (8miles) for boat trips to the Skellig Rock. Valentia Island (3miles via ferry, 12miles by road) is renowned for its tropical vegetation, scuba diving and water activity sports.Waterville (8miles) with its 2 golf courses and the world famous Lough Currane a fishermans paradise.
