movie/tv extras
Do you want to star in a movie? The bad news is, unless you already happen to be an Angelina Jolie or a Brad Pitt, the chances of starring in Peter Jackson's plans for his next blockbuster are slim. The good news is that major film and TV productions need extras or 'background artists', non-speaking characters to play many varied roles throughout filming.
And you don't have to look like a supermodel to feature and get placed. Movies need people of all ages and shapes and sizes. Acting experience, even in school plays or amateur dramatics, helps but is not essential.
