In 1998 Hastie branched into Asbestos Removal and quickly built up a highly skilled, dedicated team of Asbestos Removal Operatives. Working closely with Asbestos Analysts, Surveyors Waste Transport and Disposal Companies the company has built up a large network of experienced professionals and has completed many contracts for the Office of Public Works, ESB, County and Borough Councils, many other independent Building Contractors, Developers and private individuals.

In the interests of producing quality work safely the company created a Quality Management System in 1998 and was certified to ISO 9002:1998 in September of that year by ISOQAR Ltd. The latest step in the development of the company's management system was to complete its upgrade to ISO 9001:2000 in 2006.
