Dr Freda Guiney graduated with an honours degree from University College Cork in 1999. After spending a number of years in the UK she returned to set up adental surgery in Ballincollig, Cork. She has a wealth of experience in general dentistry and also has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and implant dentistry. In 2009 Freda was awarded sensodyne sensitive dentist of the year,this is a national awards scheme that honours dentists who go above and beyond the call of duty to care for their patients or who strive to make anxious and nervous patients feel comfortable in the dentists chair. To quote chairman of the judging panel Dr. Barry Harrington “ In the end we make judgements on the winning dentists all of whom are superb ambassadors for our profession and our decisions are final. Let me stress that the standard required to be included in this elite group is very high. It requires exceptional patient care combined with clinical skill and great empathy to demonstrate dental care above and beyond the norm.”
Freda has completed dental implant training at the Northern Ireland Dental Implant Centre and is continuously pursuing dental courses to stay abreast of dental services.
Freda has also been asked to contribute to a number of publications including xpose magazine and health and living magazine due to her reputation for providing a quality dental service

Where needed we offer a choice of restorations to restore your winning smile, from composite (white fillings) through to porcelain inlays or onlays and on to crowns and implants
