Arabica Coffee Company first opened its doors in 2003 on Merchants Rd in Galway city. Our intention from day one was to serve great coffee and fresh food in a friendly and welcoming environment. We know that it is you, our customers, that make our business possible and continual improvement of our service to you is of paramount importance to us. Arabica Coffee Company was founded by Declan Garry and we were very proud when Declan was awarded the Pricewaterhousecooper's Young Entrepreneur of the year title in Galway in 2004. Over the past 7 years Arabica has gone from strength to strength with a loyal customer base across our many stores. Today, Arabica Coffee Co. is the west of Ireland's largest coffee chain, with locations throughout Galway city and county. But we're not standing still. We intend to grow our business and develop a national brand through a strategic franchising policy. Arabica has recently opened a state of the art head office facility in Galway city. Here we have our administration department, production kitchen and training facility. It is from this location that we are driving forward our expansion plans and providing the support and training that we promise all our franchisees. Arabica plan to develop and expand by attracting quality franchisees. By maintaining a strong working partnership, both parties will develop; our franchisees will achieve their aim of developing a successful and profitable business and we will achieve our objective of becoming a leading Irish brand.

Coffee Quality

Here at Arabica we endeavour to provide you, our customer, with a superior coffee experience. We believe it is important that our customers take pleasure in every cup of coffee purchased in our stores. Coffee quality is integral to our success. To achieve this every cup of coffee we sell has been fairly traded. We employ a comprehensive training plan for all our new baristas, providing them with all the knowledge and expertise required to become a successful barista. A barista should possess a number of key qualities; namely a passion for coffee, a pursuit of excellence and importantly their own individuality and style. Our pursuit of quality will not end when a barista completes their training; their skills are continuously monitored, and training is ongoing, to ensure our specific high standards are maintained.
